Het was een prachtige avond om op pad te gaan en te proberen de Blauwborst vast te leggen in de Naardermeer. Ik had het al enkele malen geprobeerd maar telkens zat de vogel te ver weg of in een dichte struik onder slechte licht omstandigheden. Vandaag liep het anders. Ik kon mijn geluk niet op want hij (het is een mannetje) zat vlak langs het pad uitbundig te zingen in prachtig zacht avondlicht!

It was a beautiful evening to go out and try to capture the Bluethroat in the Naardermeer. I have tried this a few times before, but each time the bird was too far away or in a dense bush under poor lighting conditions. Today was different. I could not believe my luck because it was right alongside the path singing in beautiful soft evening light!
